The Madhya Pradesh government on Friday took strict action against a doctor posted in the district hospital of Chhatarpur and transferred him. Actually, a video of the doctor had surfaced, in which he was allegedly misbehaving with a Home Guard jawan. This action has been taken after this video surfaced. The video of the incident had gone viral on social media. Hospital sources said that the incident took place on February 12. After its video surfaced, State Public Health and Medical Education Minister Rajendra Shukla ordered the removal of Dr. Arunendra Shukla from Chhatarpur District Hospital and said that such behavior will not be tolerated.

In the video going viral on social media, the doctor was seen saying to the home guard jawan, “If you threaten the collector, I will make you dance. I am not afraid of collectors. If you threaten me, I will make you dance to my tune. First thing, do not come to the hospital chewing gutkha and do not forget your limits.” Apart from this, there was a long argument between the doctor and the home guard jawan. In this video, the home guard was being continuously threatened by the doctor. The video also shows the doctor throwing the documents of the home guard jawan and asking him to step out.

Health Minister took cognizance

Sources in the hospital said that the home guard employee had gone to the hospital to get CT scan and X-ray done for an accident victim known to him. This incident happened during this time. Taking serious cognizance of the matter, the Health Minister on Friday ordered the transfer of Dr. Arunendra Shukla from his post. “This kind of behavior in public life is intolerable,” he told reporters. Dr. Arunendra Shukla has been removed from his post and the matter will be investigated.”
