Uttarakhand: Every possible effort is being made to improve health services in the state, focus is being made on quality health facilities – Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar
Ayushman Arogya Mandir Garigoth in Champawat district of the state has been given National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) certification for better work in health care. This is the first time that a health center in Uttarakhand has received this award. Health Secretary Dr. R Rajesh Kumar has congratulated the Garigoth team for this achievement. He said that this is a big achievement for the state. According to him, efforts are being made to provide quality medical services to every citizen of the state.
Center remained fit on every parameter
National Quality Assurance Standards for care of pregnant women, neonatal care, health care during adolescence, care during pregnancy and delivery, family planning, contraceptive services and other reproductive health care services, management of communicable diseases: National Health Programme, General Management of communicable diseases and general outpatient care for acute common illnesses and minor illnesses, detection, prevention, control and management of non-communicable diseases and chronic communicable diseases like TB and leprosy, basic oral health care, general eye and ENT problems. Standards of care etc. are set. NQAS certification is done on the basis of these only.
An amount of Rs 02 lakh 16 thousand will be given.
National Health Mission Director Swati Bhadauria said that efforts were being made for the last one year to achieve national quality assurance standards. Shortage of medicines, equipment, lack of lab testing facilities, training, budget supplies etc. For which the problems were resolved from time to time by establishing coordination between the Chief Medical Officer and the state level. National Health Mission Director Swati Bhadauria said that along with this, important support was provided for training by state level and regional Kumaon division Rupesh Mamgain. Community Health Officer Sanjay Samant from Ayushman Arogya Mandir Gadigoth and his entire team of ANMs and ASHAs have received the qualification of certification as per National Quality Assurance Standards only after great efforts. The objective of which is to strengthen the health systems of Arogya Mandir so that the public can get the benefit of the following types of quality services. State Quality Nodal Officer- Quality Assurance Program Dr. Mukesh Rai said that Ayushman Arogya Mandir Garikoth will be awarded an amount of two lakh sixteen thousand by the Government of India. The state is continuously making efforts to provide quality treatment to the people.
Focus on quality healthcare
Health Secretary Dr. R Rajesh Kumar said that the condition of health facilities in the state is improving rapidly. The infrastructure in all the hospitals of the state has been strengthened. Specialist doctors are being deployed in the hospitals of the state on priority basis. He said that due to increasing public awareness towards better health and increasing demand for quality healthcare, we are also taking the help of private sector to meet the health related needs of the ever increasing population. With the combined efforts of the government and the private sector, we are trying to improve the quality of life of the people along with ensuring the availability of quality healthcare facilities to every area. The state government has decided to operate Haridwar Medical College, 300-bed Super Specialty Cancer Hospital at Harrawala Dehradun, 200-bed Super Specialty Hospital at Motinagar Haldwani, 200-bed MCH Center at Haridwar with the help of private sector on lease-on and transfer model. Have decided.
It is noteworthy that under the Quality Assurance standards, continuous support is provided from the state level to the medical units to provide quality and best health services. The District Quality Assurance Team and the Facility Incharge, Nursing Team and Housekeeping Team of Ayushman Arogya Mandir Garigoth have contributed significantly in achieving this certification.
