Internet will remain banned in these 7 districts of Haryana, now the service will remain closed till this date
The time limit for internet shutdown has been extended in 7 districts of Haryana. Now internet service will remain closed till 20th February. Earlier, the limit of internet service shutdown was extended till 17th February. Internet services in Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Jind, Fatehabad and Sirsa will remain closed till 23:59 pm on 20 February. In view of the farmers’ movement, restrictions on internet have been increased. Now there will be a ban on internet till 12 midnight on 20th February.
The order said, ‘After reviewing the current circumstances and challenging law and order situation in the state, it has been decided that mobile internet service, SMS service and other dongles will be suspended in Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Jind, Hisar, Fatehabad and Sirsa. The service will remain closed so that Interseva cannot be used to cause damage to government property by spreading misleading messages/rumors.
During the net ban, people will not be able to send messages through WhatsApp, Facebook, X etc. but sending personal messages, recharging the phone, banking SMS, voice calls, internet service through broadband, corporate and domestic lines etc. will continue as before.
Demonstration of farmers continues at Shambhu Toll Plaza near Ambala regarding various demands including full implementation of MSP Guarantee Act, Swaminathan Report. The toll road is completely closed from February 10. Now the impact of the movement is being seen on every section.
Now Bharatiya Kisan Union will also protest
On the sixth day of the farmers’ movement that started from Punjab, the Bharatiya Kisan Union has started making the future outline. State President of BKU Ratan Mann said that many decisions have been taken in the national meeting held in Sisoli. Mann said that on February 21, farmers will protest loudly at all the district secretariats of the state. Farmers will submit a memorandum to the government with their demands and the farmers standing on the Punjab border will be supported. The BKU leader said that a proposal has also been sent regarding a tractor march on the routes leading to Delhi on 26th and 27th February, for which a strategy will be made.
