‘If wearing a turban then you are saying Khalistani, I will file a case’, Bengal’s IPS Jaspreet Singh told BJP leaders
The situation has become more tense in Sandeshkhali of North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. The opposition party Bharatiya Janata Party is completely out on the streets against the case of sexual violence against women in Sandeshkhali. On Tuesday (February 20), many BJP MLAs were trying to enter Sandeshkhali but were stopped by IPS officer Jaspreet Singh. During this, there was an argument between BJP MLAs and police officers. BJP MLAs allegedly called him a Khalistani, after which there was a lot of debate between the two sides in front of the media.

While sharing the video on its social media platform ‘X’, the Congress party wrote, “You are calling me Khalistani because I am wearing a turban. IPS officer Jaspreet Singh said this. Look at the degraded behavior of the people of BJP. Day A police officer serving the country at night was called a Khalistani because he wore a turban. This is a very degraded mentality.

‘They are calling me Khalistani because I am wearing a turban’
In this video, IPS officer Jaspreet Singh is heard saying, ‘You are calling me Khalistani because I am wearing a turban. Do you dare? If a policeman does duty wearing a turban, does he become a Khalistani? Is this your level?’ IPS officer Singh was heard saying all this to West Bengal opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari and other BJP MLAs.

In the viral video, the IPS officer said that you are calling me a Khalistani, I will file a case against you. He was seen saying that if I did not speak on your religion then how can you speak. You are calling a police officer who is wearing a turban and who is doing his duty, a Khalistani.
