3300 KG drugs seized in Porbandar, Gujarat; Its price is more than Rs 2 thousand crores; 5 foreign smugglers also arrested

Under a joint operation of Gujarat ATS, Navy and Central Agency, 3300 kg of drugs were seized on the Indian border in the Arabian Sea on Tuesday. Its price is estimated to be more than Rs 2 thousand crores. The team has also arrested 5 foreign peddlers involved in drug peddling. The peddlers are suspected to be Iranian or Pakistani citizens.
A few days ago, Gir Somnath police had seized drugs worth Rs 350 crore that had washed up on the ghat in Veraval city. Since then, Delhi Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Gujarat ATS and other central agencies were running operations to catch the peddlers. This is the biggest ever seizure of narcotics from the maritime border under this operation.
Foreign paddlers were on Iranian boat, brought to Porbandar late night
5 foreign paddlers were aboard the Iranian boat with 3300 kg of drugs. He was brought to Porbandar beach late on Tuesday night. Security agencies are likely to hold a press conference on Wednesday in this matter.
Heroin worth Rs 350 crore was seized 5 days ago, 9 people were arrested
Five days ago, heroin worth Rs 350 crore was seized in a fishing boat from Veraval port. Along with this, 9 people were also arrested. At present ATS, Gir Somnath SOG, LCB, FSL and Marine Police are investigating the case.
Drugs caught two kilometers away from Veraval Port
Veraval port ghat boat owner Jitu Kuhada said that a boat was already under surveillance. At around 9 pm on Tuesday night, two people reached the ghat in an unknown vehicle and started keeping some items from the boat in their vehicle. When the team chased him, he was caught two kilometers away from Veraval Port.
