Rampur’s MP-MLA court declared former MP Jaya Prada a fugitive, ordered her arrest

A big news is coming out from Rampur, UP. Here, former MP from Rampur, actress Jaya Prada has been finally declared absconding by the local MP-MLA court on Tuesday due to her continuous absence in a case of violation of election code of conduct. Also, the police has been ordered to arrest him and present him in the court on March 6. MP/MLA Court Senior Prosecution Officer Amarnath Tiwari said, āA case of election code violation was registered against former MP and actress Jaya Prada in 2019, now she has been declared a fugitive in the case under section 82 of CrPC .
Court ordered action
The senior prosecution further said that the court has ordered action.ā Action will be taken against them under section 82 of CrPC. In this order, it has been decided to form a team under the jurisdictional officer and ensure their presence on the scheduled date. It is noteworthy that Jayaprada, who was the BJP candidate during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, has been booked on two charges of violating the code of conduct. The cases were registered in Rampur, which are being heard in the special MP-MLA court of Rampur.
All mobile numbers are also switched off
Amarnath Tiwari further said that two cases related to violation of the code of conduct during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections were registered against Jayaprada in Cameri and Swar police stations. In these cases, the special MP-MLA court issued summons several times but the former MP did not appear. According to him, after that, non-bailable warrants were issued against him 7 times on different dates but the police could not make him present. He told that the police in its reply filed in the court said that Jayaprada is protecting herself and all her known mobile numbers are also switched off.
Orders given to SP
On this, Judge Shobhit Bansal took a tough stand and declared Jayaprada absconding. The court also ordered the Rampur SP to form a team under the leadership of a police officer and arrest Jayaprada and present her in the court on March 6, the next date of hearing.
