Uttarakhand: IAS Prashant Kumar Arya made new Excise Commissioner

Yesterday i.e. late Monday night, the health of Uttarakhand’s senior IAS officer and Excise Commissioner Harish Chandra Semwal suddenly deteriorated after a meeting at the CM residence, after which he was admitted to a private hospital. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami also reached the hospital today to know his condition.

Keeping in view the current condition of IAS Harish Chandra Semwal, changes have been made in his department. In place of Harish Chandra Semwal, IAS officer Prashant Kumar Arya has now been made the Excise Commissioner. IAS Prashant Kumar Arya is currently holding the responsibilities of Additional Secretary Child Development and Women Welfare, Director Samketi Child Development Project and Director Women Welfare. The government did not leave an important department like Excise vacant after the ill health of Harish Chandra Semwal. This is the reason why immediate posting has been made on this post.

At present the condition of Harish Chandra Semwal remains stable. Harish Chandra Semwal is being given better treatment under the supervision of doctors. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself is taking information about the well-being of IAS officer Harish Chandra Semwal.

Let us tell you that on Monday, Semwal had reached CM Dhami’s residence to meet him in connection with the work of approval of various files of his department. Meanwhile, his health suddenly deteriorated. Seeing his condition, on the instructions of the Chief Minister, Harish Chandra Semwal was immediately admitted to the hospital for treatment.
