Uttarakhand’s budget focused on four pillars, Nari Shakti got a gift of ₹ 14 thousand crores

During the budget session of Uttarakhand Assembly, Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal presented a budget of Rs 89,230.07 crore. On which Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami said that this budget is holistic, inclusive, balanced and development-oriented budget. PM Modi’s resolution for a developed India focuses on GYAN i.e. G means poverty, Y means youth, A means provider and N means women. This time’s budget is 15.27 percent more than last year’s budget.

Last year a budget of Rs 77 thousand crore was presented: Let us tell you that last year the budget session was called in Gairsain. Where a budget of ₹77,407.08 crore was presented for the financial year 2023-24. Apart from this, a supplementary budget of Rs 11 thousand crore was also brought. Whereas, this time a budget of Rs 89,230.07 crore has been presented for the financial year 2024-25. Which is 15.27 percent more than the previous budget.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami says that the government is doing its work with determination without any option for a strong Uttarakhand. The government has made more than 30 policies to promote industrial development and employment. Its positive effects are also being seen. He said that the economic growth rate of Uttarakhand was 7.63 percent in the year 2022-23, which is higher than the national average. Whereas, approximately the same rate is estimated in the year 2023-24 also.

9.17 lakh people came out of poverty line in Uttarakhand

At the same time, CM Dhami said that our per capita income has increased by 12 percent. Per capita income in the year 2023-24 was Rs 2 lakh 60 thousand 201. Apart from this, he said that according to the Multidimensional Poverty Index released by NITI Aayog, 9 lakh 17 thousand 299 people of Uttarakhand have come out of the poverty line.

The budget focused on four pillars-

Poor welfare

Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami said that a provision of ₹ 5,658 crore has been made in the budget for the welfare of the poor. This includes ₹93 crore for housing for the poor, ₹600 crore for food grains supply and ₹55 crore for free gas refill.

Youth welfare

CM Dhami said that a provision of ₹ 1,679 crore has been made for youth welfare, technical education as well as higher education. Which also includes Rs 250 crore for organizing national games. Provision has also been made in the budget for the Chief Minister Minority Meritorious Girls Promotion Scheme. Also said that attention has also been paid to creating employment opportunities for the youth.

Food giver

Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami said that the budget amount for farmers has been increased. A provision of ₹2,415 crore has been made in the financial year 2024-25. In this, special attention has been given to Deendayal Upadhyay Cooperative Farmers Welfare Scheme, Mission Apple, Farmer Pension, Chief Minister Matsya Sampada Yojana.

Woman power

The Chief Minister said that a provision of about ₹ 14,538 crore has been kept in the gender budget for the financial year 2024-25. Provisions have been made in Nanda Gaura, Chief Minister Mahalaxmi Yojana, Chief Minister Vatsalya Yojana, Ganga Cow Mahila Dairy Development Scheme etc. In which a provision of ₹ 574 crore has been made for women power and women welfare. Whereas, a provision of ₹195 crore has been made for Nanda Gaura Yojana and ₹30.00 crore has been made for Mukhyamantri Mahalaxmi Yojana.

Apart from this, a budget provision of ₹ 28 crore has been made for the Chief Minister Child Nutrition Scheme, ₹ 15 crore for the Chief Minister Mahila Nutrition Scheme, ₹ 5 crore for the Ganga Cow Mahila Dairy Development Scheme and about ₹ 21 crore for the Chief Minister Vatsalya Scheme. At the same time, this budget will be discussed in the Assembly from tomorrow. On the other hand, the opposition is calling this budget a windy budget.
