Budget session proceedings are going on in Uttarakhand Assembly. While the discussion on the budget started late on Wednesday night amidst uproar by the opposition, the proceedings of the House are continuing today. The opposition is raising the issue of unemployment in the Assembly under Rule 310.
These days the budget session 2024 is going on in the Uttarakhand Assembly. After the last three days’ session, the proceedings of the fourth day have started at 11:00 am. Let us tell you that last Wednesday, the opposition had brought the issue of corruption in the House under Rule 310. The discussion on the budget of Rs 89,230 crore tabled in the House started amidst uproar by the opposition and continued till late night. After the discussion that continued till 11:30 pm, the House was adjourned till 11:00 am on Thursday. The first question will be asked tomorrow as soon as the House proceedings begin at 11:00 am today. After that the department wise budget will be discussed.
Before the assembly proceedings began on Thursday, Deputy Leader of Opposition Bhuvan Kapri said that for the last three days, the opposition has been continuously trying to corner the government, while the departmental ministers are seen looking away from the opposition’s questions. He told that in the last three days he has raised many issues including law and order, corruption in the House. At the same time, many questions were raised on the functioning of the government by the MLAs of the ruling party. Deputy Leader of Opposition Bhuvan Kampadi said that today the opposition will strongly raise the issue of educated unemployed youth in the state in the House. We will work to show the mirror to the way the government is robbing the rights of the youth. He also said that today there will be a discussion on the department-wise budget, in which the opposition will present its views on this populist and hollow budget of the government.
