Uttarakhand: BJP state president described the budget of Dhami government as laying the foundation of a better state, said – the attitude of the opposition is disappointing…

Expressing happiness over the passing of the budget, BJP has described it as laying the foundation of a great state. State President Mahendra Bhatt described the attitude of the opposition as disappointing and said that instead of discussing the budget that fulfills the aspirations of the people, they preferred political uproar in the House and on the streets. Sadly, instead of discussion, those who created ruckus and boycott are now complaining about lack of time in the session. They also make a mockery of Gairsain and demand that the session be held in Dehradun and their MLAs make it the permanent capital.

Responding to the passing of Budget 2024-25 from the Assembly, Bhatt said, the BJP government under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami has once again taken another decisive step towards a developed Uttarakhand by bringing an all-inclusive, all-touching and development-oriented budget. The increase of Rs 617 crore in gender budget for women will cater to their health, education, labor and employment needs. The provision of Rs 1000 crore made for roads in rural areas will make their distance from cities easier to travel. The additional help provided for youth welfare, solar energy and hydro projects is going to prove important in the field of green energy and employment. The provisions made for agriculture in the budget, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Cooperative Farmer Scheme, Apple Mission, Farmer Pension, Matsya Sampada Yojana will increase the income of farmers. We hope that the provisions made in the budget for poor welfare, industrial development, tourism, urban development, rural development, infrastructure development etc. will help in bringing the goal of a better state closer.

Taking aim at the opposition, he said that duplicity is clearly visible in their behavior inside and outside the House. Their MLAs, whom the public elected to raise their problems in the House, to discuss health in determining the state’s development policy, continued to do politics even inside the Legislative Assembly. At the same time, their leaders, who were rejected by the public in the elections, continued to masquerade as fake MLA ministers on the streets of Gairsain. The people of the state have once again seen the double character of the Congress Party and how they insult constitutional traditions both in the House and on the streets. Outside on the streets and in front of the media, Congress leaders try to get public sympathy by talking about Gairsain, while they also write letters for the session in Dehradun and inside the House, their MLAs also demand to make Dehradun the permanent capital.

Hitting back at allegations of reducing the session time, he said that when the opposition is asked to raise issues during the House, they create ruckus and stage walkouts to attract media attention. But when the session is over, they start making baseless allegations. Congress does not have issues nor is it concerned with public concerns. This is the reason why their aim is to create ruckus both in the house and on the streets.

However, apart from all this, we are confident that this budget will prove to be helpful for the complete upliftment of half the population, fulfillment of the aspirations of the youth and farmers. Our government is committed to the development of the state and the welfare of the people and will make good use of this budget passed by the House to achieve this goal.
