Allegation of gangrape of Spanish woman in Dumka, Jharkhand, 3 people detained

A Spanish woman was gang-raped late night on Friday (1 March) in Hansdiha police station area of ​​Dumka, Jharkhand. Regarding this matter, Dumka SP said that the police has registered a case on the complaint of the victim woman. Also, three people have been detained and the matter is being investigated including medical examination. It is being told that the woman has come on India tour with her husband.

Jarmundi sub-divisional police officer Santosh Kumar said that the incident of gang rape of the Spanish woman took place on Friday night. Apart from this, he said that the remaining information will be given later. Another officer said that on Friday night the couple had reached Dumka from Bangladesh on a bike and were going to Bihar and then Nepal. At around 12 o’clock in the night, he had pitched a tent and stopped at a place called Kunji-Kurumahat before Hansdiha market.

7-8 youths involved
During this time, seven to eight local youths gang-raped the woman. The officer said that three arrests have been made so far, while the search for the remaining people is ongoing. The victim has been admitted to the local hospital. The alleged gangrape happened on a day when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Jharkhand and had expressed serious concern over law and order and extortion in the state.

BJP targeted the state government
On this matter, BJP MLA Anant Ojha said that this is a stain on the state. This shows the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. He said that even foreigners are not safe in the state. The police should take action soon and the government should also take cognizance of this. Strict action should be taken against such anarchists.

After which, on the night of 14 August, the police arrested Manmohan Singh from Kulhal area. During interrogation, Manmohan Singh confessed his crime. He told that he has been addicted to drugs for a long time. He has already gone to jail in drug smuggling and Arms Act cases. On the day of the incident, he had asked his mother for money for drugs. But his mother refused to give him money and also did not let him go out of the house. He fled with the money after the murder After which, Manmohan Singh, in anger, attacked his mother’s neck with a wooden stick kept in the house. Due to which she died on the spot. After the murder, Manmohan Singh wrapped the body in a mattress and set it on fire so that it appeared that the woman died due to burning. Manmohan fled on a motorcycle with 30 thousand rupees kept in the cupboard of the house and his clothes.
