Today, the delegation of India Alliance and Civil Society submitted a memorandum to Chief Secretary Radha Raturi and Director General of Police Abhinav Kumar regarding action being taken against the Constitution by misusing the law in Haldwani and other areas of the state.

Action should be taken against misuse of law
The delegation of India Alliance and Civil Society made some special points in the memorandum. Under the leadership of India Alliance and Civil Society convener Shishpal Singh Bisht, representatives of India Alliance and Civil Society raised questions about the poor law and order situation in the state. He said that the police administration is working with bias.

The legal process is being flouted
Shishpal Bisht said that the arrest of Ashutosh Negi, who raised the issue of Ankita Bhandari prominently, forcibly closing the shops of minority people by anarchist elements in Haldwani and eviction of people by arbitrary means by flouting the legal process and creating fear. The reports of people creating such an atmosphere by entering houses in and around Banbhulpura area of Haldwani, vandalizing people’s properties and assaulting women and children and other such incidents have been described as extremely worrying.

Action against law will be investigated
Sheeshpal Bisht said that Chief Secretary Radha Raturi and Director General of Police Abhinav Kumar listened to him and assured him that the action against the law will be investigated. Along with this, he has assured that no action will be taken against the law and the Constitution.
