The government has started a new system for scholarship. Now a new system is going to be implemented for the scholarship given to the students under the Social Welfare Department. Students will now get scholarship through biometrics. The new system will be started from June this year.

More than 1.5 lakh students get scholarship
According to Geetaram Nautiyal, many types of scholarships are being given to the students by the Social Welfare Department in the state. More than 1.5 lakh children are getting scholarship across the state. In which many errors keep coming to the fore. Therefore, a new arrangement for this is going to be started from the financial year 2024-24.

Scholarship will be available only after biometric verification
The director of the department said that biometric verification of the students will be done first. Even during application, the site will open only through biometrics. Once the site opens, students will be able to download the caste certificate and the required certificates. These will first go to the principal and principal for approval.

After this they will go to the District Social Welfare Department officer. District Social Welfare Department officials will also be able to approve it after biometric verification. Only after this students will be able to get scholarship in their account.
