Uttarakhand: Viral video issue gained momentum, case registered against Salt BJP MLA Mahesh Jeena
The dispute between BJP MLA from Salt Mahesh Jeena and Dehradun Municipal Corporation Commissioner is gaining momentum. In this case, based on the complaint of Yashpal Singh, Secretary Municipal Corporation Drivers Association, a case has been registered against Salt MLA Mahesh Jeena and four other people in the city police station.
A case has been registered against Salt MLA Mahesh Jeena in the city police station under sections 147,186,504 and 506. According to the complaint, the victim has lodged a complaint that the MLA along with his four associates came to the Municipal Corporation and abused senior clerks Pawan Thapa and Ankush Soni. During this, he also threatened to kill him. After that, after reaching the Municipal Commissioner’s room, he abused the Municipal Commissioner in front of the officers and employees and threatened to kill him. Based on the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
Actually, the matter is related to the tender process of garbage disposal in the old trenching ground of Municipal Corporation on Sahastradhara Road of the capital Dehradun. In which the acquaintance of the BJP MLA was disqualified and thrown out of the tender for some reason. Why did the Municipal Corporation exclude the firm of the MLA’s acquaintance from the tender process? To know this the MLA reached the Municipal Corporation. After reaching there he first called the Municipal Commissioner. On which the Municipal Commissioner made an excuse for not being present, whereas the Municipal Commissioner was sitting inside.
MLA Mahesh Jeena told that after a lot of difficulty, some employees of the Municipal Corporation sent a non-government person for the meeting. The MLA said that the Municipal Corporation officers and employees were sent for the meeting or the person was not a person from the department. By this a public representative was not recognized and was treated indecently. When the matter escalated, the matter reached the Municipal Commissioner sitting inside. He was also continuously mistreated by them. To which the MLA continuously replied. Meanwhile, the video of the debate going on went viral. He said that he will not be negligent at all in this matter. They will raise this matter under violation of special rights in the Assembly. He said that he will write a letter and complain about this matter to the Chief Minister, Assembly Speaker and Parliamentary Affairs Minister.
