US President forgot to turn off the mic, what he said about Netanyahu became public
US President Joe Biden’s displeasure with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas is increasing and this came to light in a recent conversation. In fact, the Democratic leader said in a conversation with an MP that there is a need to have a ‘frank’ conversation between him and the Israeli leader. During this conversation the mike was on and thus his words became public. Biden made this comment while talking to Senator Michael Bennet in the House after the ‘State of the Union’ address on Thursday night.
Bennett congratulated Biden on his address and urged the president to put pressure on Netanyahu over the growing humanitarian concerns in Gaza. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Transportation Minister Pete Buttigieg also participated in the brief conversation. On this, Biden used Netanyahu’s surname and said, ‘I have told him, Bibi, not to repeat this. You and I will have to talk bluntly.’ After this, an assistant of the President standing nearby said something in his ear. It appears he alerted Biden that the microphone was still on.

Are you listening secretly?
Biden said, ‘I am here on the hot mic. It’s good.’ On Friday, he accepted these comments and told the journalists in a light tone that they were ‘secretly’ listening to their conversation. The US President is now publicly expressing his displeasure towards Netanyahu. In his address on Thursday, he asked Israel to take care that innocent civilians are not affected in the campaign against Hamas.
