Uttar Pradesh: BJP declared candidates for Legislative Council elections, fielded seven candidates

BJP has announced the candidates for the Legislative Council elections to be held in UP. The party has given another chance to Pradeep Vice President, Vijay Bahadur Pathak, Dr. Mahendra Singh, Ashok Kataria. Apart from this, tickets have been given to State Vice President Santosh Singh, Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Mohit Beniwal and Ram Tirath Singh.

Members of the Legislative Assembly will vote in this election of the Legislative Council. A total of 13 seats will be vacant on May 5, for which elections are being held.

In the elections to be held on 13 seats, Bharatiya Janata Party will field candidates on 10 seats. There will be BJP candidates on 9 seats. One seat will be given to Apna Dal S in the alliance. Apna Dal (S) working national president Ashish Patel will be the candidate.

On the other hand, Samajwadi Party has almost decided its candidates. The party will send its state president Naresh Uttam Patel, former minister Balram Yadav and former MLA Shah Alam alias Guddu Jamali to the Legislative Council. These have been agreed upon at the highest level in the party, only a formal announcement is yet to be made.

The tenure of these members is ending on May 5.
BJP’s Yashwant, Vijay Bahadur Pathak, Vidyasagar Sonkar, Dr. Sarojini Aggarwal, Ashok Kataria, Ashok Dhawan, Bukkal Nawab, Mahendra Kumar Singh, Nirmala Paswan, Mohsin Raza, Apna Dal (S)’s Ashish Patel, BSP’s Bhimrao Ambedkar and SP. The tenure of Naresh Uttam Patel is ending on May 5.
