Madhya Pradesh: Wife was asking for money for maintenance, husband said in court – I am eunuch

A surprising case came to light during the hearing in the Family Court of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. This case is related to a woman and a eunuch, in which the woman had filed a case in the court that her husband does not give her money for maintenance. But when this case was heard in the court, the woman’s husband flatly refused to accept the woman as his wife. The husband also gave such an argument that everyone was stunned to hear it. He said in the court that he is a eunuch, so how can he marry?

Married in 1985, shifted to Agra on the pretext of job

Let us tell you that a woman had presented a complaint in the Family Court, in which the woman had said that she was married on March 10, 1985. At that time her husband worked in a gold and silver shop. Till 1990, both of them lived together in their ancestral house in Agra district of Uttar Pradesh. Later, due to differences with their family members, both of them started living in a rented house in Lohamandi of Agra city. After that both the people came to Gwalior and started living here. The woman says that after some time the husband told her that he was getting a good job in Agra. He will work there alone and he will keep visiting her from time to time. Besides, he will also give him Rs 15,000 every month. After which he went to Agra.

Husband started living with eunuchs in Agra

The woman told in the court that she waited for several months after her husband shifted to Agra. But neither her husband came nor did she send the money. After this, when the woman started searching for her husband in Agra, she came to know that her husband had started living with eunuchs. After this, the woman applied for maintenance in the Family Court of Gwalior on 9 December 2015. But during the hearing of this case, the husband said in the court that she is a eunuch, how can I marry her. He also presented his photographs with eunuchs in the court.

Court ruled in favor of Kinnar

During the hearing, a relative of the woman also testified that she was present at the time of their marriage. Although she could not present the marriage related documents in the court, her husband’s name was definitely there on the Aadhaar card. But in the court the eunuch revealed her name differently. However, after the hearing, the court gave its verdict in favor of Kinnar. He rejected the application submitted by the woman for maintenance of Rs 15,000 per month.
