Uttarakhand: Chief Electoral Officer held a meeting with all the political parties of the state, gave instructions not to use single use plastic in election campaign material

Chief Electoral Officer Dr. B.V.R.C. Under the chairmanship of Purushottam, a meeting was organized in the Secretariat on Monday with all the recognized political parties and registered unrecognized political parties of the state for the upcoming general elections of the Lok Sabha.
In the meeting, the Chief Electoral Officer appealed for the required cooperation from all the political parties to ensure successful completion of the election process. In the meeting, detailed information was given about the guidelines and guidelines of the Commission during nomination of candidates of political parties, manifesto and code of conduct.
In the meeting, information was given from all the political parties regarding the provision of expenditure for the rallies, road shows and other events of their star campaigners. The Chief Electoral Officer appealed to all the political parties to motivate the people as much as possible to increase the voting percentage in the state. The Chief Electoral Officer assured all the political parties that during the election process, the Chief Electoral Officer’s office will assist any political party in getting any kind of information or solving any kind of difficulty with promptness from the competent officer level. Cooperation will be done.
The Chief Electoral Officer has also appealed to all the political parties to cooperate in making the state plastic free and not to use single use plastic in the election campaign material.
On this occasion, Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Mastu Das gave a detailed presentation to the political parties about the responsibilities and various topics related to the election process. Expenditure nodal Manmohan Mainali gave information regarding the expenditure limit of political parties on rallies, advertising campaigns and social media. Information about CVigil app was also given in the meeting.
On this occasion, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Namami Bansal, Pratap Shah, representatives of recognized political parties and registered unrecognized political parties were present.
