In Rio de Janeiro city of South American country Brazil, a man hijacked the entire bus at gunpoint and took the passengers hostage. Two passengers were shot in this incident. The attacker shot these two passengers. In this regard, Brazilian officials said that this incident happened on Tuesday at the main bus stand of Rio de Janeiro city. Here a person with a gun first shot and injured two people. The passengers traveling in the bus were taken hostage. There was panic in the surrounding area after the bus hijack. Police said in a statement that the entire area has been cordoned off.

Police arrested

In particular, the soldiers of the Special Security Force are talking to the person carrying the gun. According to media reports, 18 people traveling in the bus were taken hostage. However, later the police succeeded in arresting the accused. All the passengers have been freed safely. Also the injured were taken to the hospital.

The identity of the gunman was not disclosed

Colonel Marco Andrade of the military police said the hostage-taker surrendered and was arrested. At the same time, all the hostages were released. The police officer informed that children and elderly people were also among those taken hostage. Police have not revealed the identity of the gunman. An eyewitness informed that a person entered the bus firing indiscriminately.
