Madhya Pradesh: Retired engineer trapped in trap of foreign girl on Facebook, lost Rs 50 lakh due to greed

In order to earn huge profits in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, a retired engineer of MPEB became a victim of fraud of Rs 50 lakh. The engineer lost money while trying to earn huge profits in business. The retired engineer, who was a victim of fraud, has lodged a complaint in the Gwalior Crime Branch.
Additional SP Niranjan Sharma told that Vijay Kumar Sharma, resident of Kailash Vihar, was an engineer in MPEB in Chhattisgarh. After retirement, he is living in Gwalior. Some time ago, retired engineer Vijay Kumar Sharma had a conversation with a woman named Dr. Laura Alvis through social media.
Dr. Laura Alvis told Vijay Kumar while chatting that she works in a pharma company in England. His company prepares medicines to reduce obesity. Laura Alvis said that in preparing the medicine to reduce obesity, a herbal product is mixed, which is available in some other countries including India. A supplier in India used to supply it to his company, but he has died. So now we are looking for a new supplier.
The foreign woman told Vijay Kumar Sharma that if he wants to earn huge profits then he can become a supplier in this company. She will help in this. Dr. Laura Alvis said that the raw material required by the company is available in Hyderabad. First, its sample will have to be sent, which a company person will come to India to see and after it is passed, the work of supply will be given.
Retired engineer Vijay Kumar Sharma got lured by the greed of profit due to the words of the woman. They agreed to this. He first bought 8 samples for Rs 8 lakh, which were passed by the person informed by the woman after coming to Delhi. After this, on the advice of Laura Alvis, Dr. Vijay Kumar Sharma bought 40 more samples.
Vijay Sharma, a retired engineer, made a transaction of approximately Rs 50 lakh, but this time neither any order nor any reply was received from the company. After this the retired engineer understood that he had been cheated. He has lodged a complaint regarding this matter in Gwalior Crime Branch. Gwalior Crime Branch has registered an FIR under Section 420 and 66 of the IT Act and started investigation.

ASP said that retired MPEB engineer Vijay Sharma had contacted a foreigner through Facebook. There was chatting between them and the person in front assured them that we are a very big company and have production, we supply weight loss products here. Its material comes from India. Came to believe this. After this, a transaction of about Rs 50 lakh was made from them. When they realized that this was an organized crime, they lodged a report.
