The Chief Minister said that our government is fully committed to the all-round development of Jaspur. He said that the work of building a direct road from Jaspur to Haridwar via Afzalgarh and Najibabad and also finding land for the construction of a stadium in Jaspur is being done with full activeness.

The Chief Minister said that he had earlier announced the beautification of the temple of Maa Hidimba Devi located at Halduvasahu. By the grace of Mother Goddess, an amount of more than Rs 82 lakh has been approved for the beautification of the temple.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that the enthusiasm of all of you shows that the benefits of the schemes and development works of our state government are reaching you directly. Our government has implemented welfare schemes for every section of the society, from youth to the elderly and from mothers, sisters to children. Many schemes have been started to ensure health, education, employment, women empowerment and upliftment of farmers. From the birth of a child to an elderly person, different welfare schemes are being run in the state for people of all ages.

He said that at present in Uttarakhand, through several schemes including Mukhyamantri Mahalakshmi Yojana, Khushiyon Ki Sawaari and Matritva Vandana Yojana, better health and better life of the child and mother is being ensured. When children grow up, they are being given good education and scholarships. With the aim of especially encouraging girls towards education, bicycles are being given to class 9 girls. Along with this, an amount of Rs 50 thousand is being provided to the girls passing 12th under Nanda Gaura Scheme.

The Chief Minister said that our government is working strongly on providing maximum employment to the youth. Recruitment is being done continuously for vacant posts in government departments. Along with this, youth are being provided employment through various employment fairs. He said that the unemployment rate in the year 2021-22 was 8.4 percent, which has come down to only 4.9 percent in the year 2022-23.

The Chief Minister said that our government is working with full commitment on women empowerment. Along with giving 30 percent reservation to women, many schemes including Mukhyamantri Nari Sashaktikaran Yojana, Lakhpati Didi Yojana and Mukhyamantri Aanchal Amrit Yojana are making women empowered and self-reliant. Today, the products made by self-help groups of our mothers and sisters are competing with big companies. He said that earlier among the elderly, only one of the husband or wife used to get old age pension, but we said that it is difficult for the elderly husband and wife to survive on Rs 1200. Therefore, we have started giving old age pension to both husband and wife in elderly couples. Along with this, the pension of Rs 1200 per month has been increased to Rs 1500 per month. So that the elders of our Uttarakhand do not have to face any problem in this situation.

The decision to make uniform civil code, anti-copying law, conversion law, action on land jihad and anti-riot law in the state was taken in the interest of the state. Successful operation of Silkyara Tunnel and successful organization of Investors Summit have been possible due to the efforts of everyone.

The Chief Minister said that a large number of farmers cultivate sugarcane in Jaspur. For the economic prosperity of all you farmers, our government has increased the sugarcane rate by Rs 20 per quintal this year. Today I have also laid the foundation stone for the upgradation of boilers in the sugar mill here. Sugarcane farmers will also definitely benefit from this. He said that just two days ago we have taken an important decision keeping in mind the welfare of the farmers. Our government has made canal water tax free for farmers. Now farmers irrigating through canal will not have to pay any fee. All farmers will irrigate from the canal for free.

He said that we are making the infrastructure of the state much stronger than before. Work is being done on many projects including schools, colleges, roads, hospitals, water projects and power projects across the state. He said that in the last two months alone, our state government has laid the foundation stone and inaugurated development works worth more than Rs 18,000 crore. All these works to strengthen the infrastructure of the state are being done keeping in mind the future and vision of the next 25 years of Uttarakhand.

The Chief Minister said that Narendra Modi ji’s special attachment to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is not hidden from anyone. Modi ji was the first to say from the land of Lord Kedar that the third decade of the 21st century is the decade of Uttarakhand.
