Madras High Court imposed a fine of Rs 50 lakh on YouTuber, the case is related to RSS

Madras High Court sent a YouTuber a fine of Rs 50 lakh has been imposed. The court said in its decision that she was not blindfolded nor could she close her eyes. The court took this action against YouTuber for making derogatory remarks against RSS-affiliated organization Seva Bharti.

A bench of Justice N Kumar Satish, in its order given on March 6, said that in the name of freedom of expression, no one can use his constitutional freedom and right to invade the privacy of others or tarnish their reputation.

Justice Satish said in his decision that no one can interfere in the privacy of others and conduct interviews just in the name of freedom of expression. The law does not allow any YouTuber and social media to tarnish the reputation of others. Therefore, the court cannot remain blindfolded. Along with this, the court has ordered YouTuber Surendra alias Nathikan to pay a compensation of Rs 50 lakh to Seva Bharti Trust.

What is the whole matter-

In 2020, the YouTuber had linked the Seva Bharati Trust of Tamil Nadu, linked to the RSS, to the custodial death of two Christian people, P Jayaraj and his son Bennix. Also made many derogatory comments on the trust. Seva Bharti Trust had approached the court against this. Also demanded compensation. The trust had demanded from the court that it should direct the YouTuber to stop making any statement against it.
