Those three national parties, whose hands were empty in electoral bonds, regional parties got Rs 5221 crore

Regional parties received donations worth more than Rs 5,221 crore through electoral bonds between April 2019 and January 2024. This is Rs 839 crore less than the amount of Rs 6,060.51 crore received by BJP during the same period. According to electoral bond data released by the Election Commission, two national parties Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) received Rs 1,421.86 crore and Rs 65.45 crore respectively during this period. Janata Dal Secular collected Rs 43.40 crore, Sikkim Krantikari Party Rs 36.5 crore, Nationalist Congress Party Rs 31 crore, Jan Sena Party Rs 21 crore, Samajwadi Party Rs 14.05 crore, Janata Dal United Rs 14 crore and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha Received Rs 13.5 crore through this means.

Akali Dal collected Rs 7.2 crore, AIADMK Rs 6.05 crore and Sikkim Democratic Front Rs 5.5 crore from electoral bonds. Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party, Jammu and Kashmir National Conference and Goa Forward Party received less than Rs 1 crore through electoral bonds. According to a report published earlier by the Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR), electoral bonds worth Rs 16,518 crore have been sold from March 2018 to January 2024.
