Uttar Pradesh / Mainpuri: Horrible punishment to a woman for stealing potatoes, her clothes were torn… crossed the limits of barbarity
A video of a woman resident of a village in Karhal police station area of Mainpuri being beaten with a stick and her clothes being torn went viral on social media on Thursday. When the woman reached the police station to complain, the opposite party accused the woman of stealing potatoes. However, the police have registered a case against four people on the basis of the woman’s statement and video. The viral video of a woman being sexually assaulted is being reported on 29th February.
On Thursday, a video of a woman resident of a village in the police station area went viral on social media. In the night time video, some people are seen beating a woman badly with sticks. On getting information about the video that went viral, it was found that on February 29, the named people had beaten up a woman who had gone to dig in the fields, accusing her of stealing potatoes.
An accused had tried to rape the woman by tearing her clothes with the help of a weapon. The woman was saved when the family woman arrived. After this incident, the police not only got the victim medically examined but also registered a case against the accused Narendra Kumar, Rajeev, Deepu and Krishna Murari under sections like molestation etc. Inspector in-charge Lalit Bhati said that the incident took place on 29th February. A case has been registered against the accused. Arrests will be made soon and action will be taken.
