Uttarakhand: Voting will be held on all five seats of the state on April 19, results will come on June 4

Today the Election Commission of India has announced the election dates for the Lok Sabha elections. In the first phase in Uttarakhand, voting will be held on all five seats on April 19. Whereas, counting of votes will take place on June 4.

Let us tell you that in 2019 also, voting took place in the first phase in Uttarakhand on April 11. Then a total of 57.09 percent voters had exercised their franchise. This figure was less than the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. The highest turnout was 66.39 percent in Nainital parliamentary constituency and the lowest was 48.78 percent in Pauri. Whereas in 2014 there was 62.15 percent voting.

Code of conduct implemented in the state

With the announcement of Lok Sabha election dates, the code of conduct has come into force in the state. Elections are to be held on five Lok Sabha seats in the state. Of these, three seats are in Garhwal and two seats are in Kumaon division.

BJP has declared candidates on all five seats

Let us tell you that there are five Lok Sabha seats in Uttarakhand. BJP has declared candidates on all five seats for the elections. Mala Rajyalakshmi Shah has been made candidate from Tehri Garhwal seat, Ajay Bhatt from Nainital seat and Ajay Tamta from Almora seat. At the same time, they have placed their bets on MP and party’s national media head Anil Baluni from Pauri Garhwal seat and former CM Trivendra Singh Rawat from Haridwar.

Congress has declared candidates on three seats

Congress has announced candidates for three Lok Sabha seats in Uttarakhand. The stake has been played on Jot Singh Gunsola from Tehri Garhwal seat, Ganesh Godiyal from Pauri seat and Pradeep Tamta from Almora. There is still suspense on two seats.
