Uttarakhand: Four years after losing the post of CM, Trivendra Singh Rawat contested the elections, said- learned a lot in exile

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat from Haridwar Lok Sabha seat. After remaining on the sidelines for almost four years after being removed from the post of Chief Minister, he once again reached the party office where the workers welcomed him.

When journalists asked him questions about the last four years in the party office, former CM Trivendra Singh Rawat gave an interesting answer. He said, he got a chance to introspect during his political exile.

Let us tell you that BJP has made former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat the candidate for Haridwar seat of Uttarakhand. Trivendra Singh Rawat was removed from the post by the High Command on the threshold of completing the fourth year of his CM tenure. Since then, Trivendra Singh Rawat was also on the sidelines in BJP, but now the party has once again given him a chance. After being made the Lok Sabha election candidate from Haridwar, he reached BJP state office and talked to the media.

While answering the questions of the media, Rawat said, ‘During these four years, I got the opportunity to learn a lot. Lord Ram had spent his time with the forest dwellers and Ramrajya cannot be imagined without the forest dwellers, I also learned a lot during this period.

When will elections be held in Uttarakhand?

Let us tell you that on Saturday itself the Election Commission has announced the dates of Lok Sabha elections across the country. Elections will be held in a total of seven phases in the country. However, elections will be held in Uttarakhand in a single phase. Voting will be held here for the first phase on 19th April. Counting of votes will take place on June 4.

In the first phase, voting will be held on 102 Lok Sabha seats for which notification will be issued on March 20. The last date for filing nominations is 27th March while scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on 28th March. Nominations can be withdrawn on March 30 and voting will take place on April 19.
