Uttarakhand: On the lines of ‘do or die’, Congress made this strategy to contest elections, appointed in-charges in 70 assembly constituencies

Congress is going to fight the Lok Sabha elections in Uttarakhand in a do or die style. 11,729 booth committees and 1,000 mandalams prepared from organizational point of view are becoming a big and important medium to connect the party’s publicity system with the common people.

Keeping in mind the effective counter to the tough challenge from BJP, for the first time the major opposition party has prepared war rooms in the state and districts from blocks to booth level. The election strategy made by the central leadership and at the state level will quickly reach its lowest level. Besides, election materials can be quickly delivered as per requirement to the warriors commanding the party at the booth level.

After the formation of a separate Uttarakhand state, this fifth great battle of Lok Sabha elections has become decisive for the Congress. The pressure on the party, which has lost in two consecutive Lok Sabha elections, has now increased in the third election. Congress is feeling this challenge. This time the party has made complete preparations to save political survival in the state.

The entire campaign machinery of the party has been prepared very carefully for the contest. The central leadership itself has great interest in this. It was the insistence of the central leadership that special attention has been paid to forming units at the booth level.

Mandalam units formed

This time the State Congress organization has made a new experiment in the form of Mandalam units. Approximately 1,000 such Mandalam units have been formed at the Nyaya Panchayat level. They have been formed in both cities and rural areas. By setting up Mandalam units, the opposition party is trying to connect directly with a larger number of voters.

The party’s election campaign strategy will be sharpened and its opponents will also be monitored through this. This unit will also do the work of coordination between the booth and the block. These units have been given concrete shape by running a special campaign of two months.

Lok Sabha constituency and district wise media coordinator

Media in-charge and media coordinators will play an important role in the elections. The Congress leadership has made Dr. Chayanika Uniyal in-charge of the State Congress Media Department. State Congress Media Department has appointed Lok Sabha constituency wise, district wise and division wise media coordinators in view of the Lok Sabha elections.

Not only this, various platforms of internet media will be used in the Lok Sabha elections. All information is being made available on these platforms at one click. 1,000 Internet media groups have been created. 500 WhatsApp groups are also being formed in each Lok Sabha constituency.

Also benefit of 32 subsidiary organizations of Sangh: 32 subsidiary organizations of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in Uttarakhand are involved in service work in various fields. BJP will also get the benefit of working on the ground of these organizations imbued with national ideology in the elections.

WhatsApp groups formed at the level of party units and office bearers: To provide immediate information about election programs and their immediate implementation, the party has created WhatsApp groups at the unit and office bearers level. These include different WhatsApp groups of provincial officials, state presidents of Morcha and Cell as well as district heads, district in-charges, divisional presidents and MLAs.

Incharge appointed in 70 assembly constituencies

Keeping in mind the good performance in the elections, in-charges of 70 assembly constituencies have also been appointed on the instructions of AICC. The in-charge is providing information about the party’s programs and organizational activities to the state and central leadership. In-charges have played a role in the verification of booth committees and divisional units.

During the Lok Sabha elections, the party will conduct election campaign activities according to their constituency-wise feedback. Along with this, coordinators have also been deployed for five Lok Sabha constituencies. After contributing to the selection of candidates, these coordinators will also be active in Lok Sabha constituency-wise election activities.

War room activated at state level

The State Congress Committee has activated the war room in the state headquarters of the party. The command of the war room has been handed over to State Congress Committee General Secretary Naveen Joshi. State Congress Vice President Organization and Administration Mathuradutt Joshi said that the team is continuously working with five computers in the war room. Feedback is being taken by contacting the district heads daily. Booth committee president is also connected to the war room through mobile phone number. Preparations have been made for elections from state to district, block and booth level.

Every strategy is being decided on the instructions of the central leadership

Even at the booth level, be it the observer of the All India Congress Committee coming to visit the war room state, or the Lok Sabha election in-charge, or the state in-charge Kumari Selja, everyone has examined the formation of the booth committee and the preparations for it. All 11,729 booth committee chairpersons have been appointed.

This time special attention has been paid to the strength of the booths. Booth presidents and committee members have been asked to work more actively in finding solutions to the rival BJP’s Panna Pramukhs. This time the war room will also work at the booth level.

This war room will be connected to the war room at the block, district as well as state level. From here, every information will be sent to the highest level, so that the party’s preparations can be kept strong on the ground. There will be a team of 11 to 51 workers at each polling booth.
