Afghanistan entered Pakistan and conducted airstrike, targeted Pakistani military posts

Pakistan Army carried out airstrikes in border areas of Afghanistan, resulting in the death of eight civilians, including women and children. These attacks targeted civilian homes in Khost and Paktika provinces near the Pakistan border. At the same time, now Afghanistan has also given a befitting reply to Pakistan’s attacks.

Afghanistan retaliated
Afghanistan has also retaliated after the attack by Pakistan. Afghan forces targeted Pakistani military posts along the border, becoming the first retaliatory attack by the Taliban since they took power more than two years ago.

Afghanistan’s National Islamic Army is responding to Pakistan by targeting military posts along the border with heavy weapons, the Taliban-controlled Defense Ministry said in a post on Twitter. Defense and security forces are ready to respond to any aggressive action.

Pakistan threatened to retaliate
The attacks came a day after President Asif Ali Zardari vowed to retaliate after seven soldiers, including two officers, were killed in a terrorist attack on a security forces post in North Waziristan. Hafiz Gul Bahadar group had claimed responsibility for the deadly attack.

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry confirmed a “counter-terrorism operation” in Afghan border areas targeting the same group, a faction of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) responsible for increasing border violence against Pakistani security forces.

Afghan warned
On the other hand, the Taliban government condemned the air strikes and called it a violation of Afghanistan’s sovereignty. He warned that such actions could lead to serious consequences and the possibility of escalation of incidents could be beyond Pakistan’s capacity to manage.

Accusing each other
Pakistan’s Special Representative to Afghanistan Ambassador Asif Durrani on Saturday accused Afghanistan of harboring terrorists, including 5,000 to 6,000 Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants and their families.

Afghanistan refuted these claims, saying, we reject the presence of any foreign groups in Afghanistan and they are not allowed to operate on Afghan soil.
