Maharashtra / Thane: 3 people injured in a sudden explosion in the battery of an electric bike, the roof and wall of the house also collapsed

An electric motorcycle battery exploded at a house in Maharashtra’s Thane district, injuring two women and a man. Municipal Corporation officials gave this information on Wednesday. Yasin Tadvi, head of the disaster management department of Thane Municipal Corporation, said that due to the explosion on Tuesday night, the roof of the house and the wall adjacent to the neighboring house collapsed. This battery was kept in a house located in a chawl in Shanti Nagar of Kalwa area.
3 people injured in the explosion
The officer said that the battery exploded at around 10.30 pm. He told that it is not yet known whether it was kept in the house for charging or not. He said that a 28-year-old woman living in the house where the battery exploded and a 66-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman living in the neighboring house were injured. After receiving the information, the local fire brigade and disaster management department team reached the spot.
Injured admitted to hospital
The official said that the three victims injured in this accident have been admitted to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital located in Kalwa. The official said an investigation is being conducted to find out the cause of the battery explosion.
