Nomination for Lok Sabha elections 2024 starts from today in Uttarakhand, know the complete process of nomination

Nominations for Lok Sabha elections 2024 have started from today. The returning officer said that today i.e. on March 20, the notification was issued from 9 am. After which, along with the election process, the nomination process also started. The last date for nomination is 27 March. He told that nominations will be held from 11 am to 3 pm.
Enrollment starts in Uttarakhand from today
Nominations will be held in the court room of District Magistrate Udham Singh Nagar. He said that the candidates coming for nomination will be given entry from Gate No. 3 located on ARTO Office Road. Only permitted persons will be allowed to enter within a radius of 100 meters of the enrollment room. A total of 5 persons including the candidates will be eligible for entry in the nomination hall of the recognized political party. 10 proposers will be allowed for nomination of independent candidates.
Target of 85 percent voting
Returning Officer Udham Singh Nagar District Magistrate said that Sub-District Magistrate Manish Bisht has been named the designated returning officer. He said that people should participate enthusiastically in the Mahakumbh of democracy. He said that this time the district administration team has set a target of 85 percent voting in the district. For this, the administration is also running awareness campaigns at various places.
BJP candidate inaugurates election office
For the Lok Sabha elections, BJP inaugurated the election office in the district headquarters on Nainital Road. During this, BJP candidate Ajay Bhatt, District President Kamal Jindal and Rudrapur MLA Shiv Arora jointly inaugurated the election office of BJP by cutting the ribbon after Havan puja. Earlier, BJP workers warmly welcomed Ajay Bhatt when he reached the program. MLA Shiv Arora honored Ajay Bhatt by presenting him a sword. On this occasion, BJP candidate Ajay Bhatt called upon the workers to gather to fulfill the resolution of crossing 400.
Voting is going on in the first phase on five seats of Uttarakhand
There are 5 Lok Sabha seats in Uttarakhand. Elections on these five seats are to be held in the first phase on April 19. Nomination is starting from today 20th March with notification. Candidates will be able to file nominations till 27th March. Scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on March 28. Nomination papers can be withdrawn till March 30. Voting will be held on all five seats of Uttarakhand on March 19.
