Afghanistan Blast: Bomb blast in Kandahar, Afghanistan, 3 killed in the attack; 12 injured
A suicide bombing on Thursday killed three people and injured 12 others in the Afghan city of Kandahar, a stronghold of the Taliban authorities who rule the country, a provincial official said.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast. Several explosions have been reported across the country since the start of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan on March 11, with Taliban officials confirming some.
12 people injured in attack
Inamullah Samangani, director of information and culture for Kandahar province, said that according to preliminary information, a suicide attack took place in the city in which three compatriots were killed and 12 others were injured. The blast targeted a group of people waiting outside the New Kabul Bank branch in central Kandahar city at around 8:00 am (0330 GMT).
