Two Indian fishermen missing after Pakistan’s action
Two Indian fishermen are missing since the action taken by the Pakistani Maritime Authority. A member of the Pakistani Maritime Agency also died during this action. Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) says that when their team was patrolling, eight boats of Indian fishermen were seen in their waters. The fishermen were fishing illegally.
The agency claims that when chased, a boat started running fast. The people on it were warned to stop. Finally, it was stopped and PMSA members boarded it. They alleged that suddenly the speed of the boat was increased again and it collided with the PMSA ship. Due to this, the fishermen’s boat crashed and sank.
The maritime agency carried out a rescue operation and rescued five fishermen, but two fishermen could not be traced. They are being searched for. Meanwhile, the Sri Lankan Navy arrested 32 Indian fishermen on Wednesday. Along with this, five boats have also been seized. The Sri Lankan Navy has so far captured 23 boats and 178 Indian fishermen this year.
