Bhutan gives highest civilian honor to PM Modi, also praises India’s fast economy

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been awarded the highest civilian honor in Bhutan. The King of Bhutan, while giving Bhutan’s highest civilian honor Order of Druk Gyalpo to PM Modi, has described India as a country with a fast growing economy.

He said that under the leadership of PM Modi, India has become the country with the fastest growing economy in the world. He also said that India will be the third largest economy in the world by 2030. After this, PM Modi thanked the Bhutan government and said that his honor is the honor of the 140 crore people of the country.

Earlier, when PM Modi landed at Paro airport in Bhutan, he was warmly welcomed by Bhutan’s PM Tshering Tobgay. A grand guard of honor was given by the Bhutanese Armed Forces in honor of PM Modi.

Bhutan’s PM came to India in January
Let us tell you that recently Bhutan’s PM Tshering Tobgay had visited India from 14 to 18 March. This was his first foreign visit after assuming office in January 2024. During his stay, he had discussions with President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Modi and several industry leaders, besides participating in various events.
