Police alert regarding Holi, fair and elections in Uttarakhand, ADG gave these instructions to the officers

Police have increased vigilance regarding the organization of Holi and upcoming fairs. Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) AP Anshuman directed all police officers to make special arrangements for these fairs and festivals. Before Holi, asked to mark all those people who have been involved in any dispute in the past years.
Apart from this, the Additional Director General of Police has also given instructions to maintain extra vigilance at the checkpost in view of the elections. The Additional Director General of Police gave these guidelines to all range and district police in-charges through video conferencing at the police headquarters.
These instructions were given
- To maintain peace during Holika Dahan and colours, meetings of peace committees should be called in relation to disputed sites. Special caution should be taken in areas with mixed population.
- Adequate number of police and PAC forces should be deployed in the Maa Purnagiri fair to be celebrated in Champawat district on March 26. Along with this, traffic plan should also be prepared in time.
- On March 30, at the flag fair in Dehradun, arrangements were made for police PAC and timely preparation of traffic plan. Apart from this, instructions were given to monitor people with criminal history.
- In view of the elections, SST and FST should be continuously monitored at all check posts.
- The most sensitive polling stations should be re-reviewed and a plan should be made.
- The nomination process has started, hence adequate arrangements should be made for the security of the candidates.
