Uttarakhand / Champawat: If tenants do not get verification done then be careful, police is going to take action

Traders and public representatives of Lohaghat Nagar held a meeting with the Trade Board on Saturday with Inspector Ashok Kumar Singh, in-charge of Lohaghat police station, demanding mandatory verification of outsiders living in Lohaghat Nagar.
Traders demand verification from outsiders
Traders said that nowadays the number of outsiders doing business and other work in Lohaghat city and its surrounding areas is continuously increasing. There is every possibility of increase in crime in the area due to the arrival of outsiders. He demanded the police to verify the outsiders.
Police gave assurance
Inspector in-charge Ashok Kumar Singh assured the people and said that the police will soon conduct a verification campaign. He said that all outsiders will be verified. He said that if any outsider is found without verification, challan action will be taken against him. Along with this, if any building owner does not verify the external tenant, then strict action will be taken against him.
Police appealed to install CCTV cameras
The inspector in-charge appealed to the city residents and businessmen to compulsorily install CCTV cameras outside their homes and shops for security reasons. He said that the police will now conduct verification drives every month. Along with this, he has appealed to give information about suspicious outsiders to the police.
