Congress has announced candidates for Haridwar and Nainital Lok Sabha seats. Virendra Rawat, son of former CM Harish Rawat, has been given the ticket from Haridwar. Whereas, Prakash Joshi has been fielded from Nainital.

Let us tell you that Congress had already declared candidates on 3 seats of Uttarakhand. In this, former state president Ganesh Godiyal has been given ticket from Garhwal Lok Sabha seat and Jot Singh Gunsola is in the fray from Tehri Lok Sabha seat. Whereas, Congress has again expressed confidence in Pradeep Tamta on Almora Pithoragarh seat, but Congress did not announce candidates on Haridwar and Nainital Udham Singh Nagar Lok Sabha seat.

At the same time, now Congress has fielded candidates from Haridwar and Nainital Udham Singh Nagar Lok Sabha seats. Under which Harish Rawat’s son Virendra Rawat has been made the candidate from Haridwar. In such a situation, Virendra Rawat will face BJP candidate Trivendra Singh Rawat and independent candidate Umesh Kumar on Haridwar Lok Sabha seat. Therefore, a triangular contest will be seen on the Haridwar Lok Sabha seat. Because of which the election here has become interesting. Talking about Nainital Udham Singh Nagar Lok Sabha seat, Congress has made Prakash Joshi its candidate.

BJP candidates

In such a situation, now Prakash Joshi will face BJP candidate Ajay Bhatt. Talking about BJP candidates, former Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni has been given ticket from Garhwal Lok Sabha seat. From Tehri, BJP has once again expressed confidence in Mala Rajyalakshmi Shah, the daughter-in-law of the royal family. Rajyalakshmi Shah has won the election from Tehri Lok Sabha seat thrice.

BJP has fielded former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat in the election contest from Haridwar Lok Sabha seat. Whereas, BJP has again expressed confidence in Union Minister of State for Defense Ajay Bhatt on Nainital Udham Singh Nagar Lok Sabha seat. Whereas, BJP has given ticket to Ajay Tamta from Almora Pithoragarh Lok Sabha seat. Ajay Tamta has been elected MP from this seat in the year 2014 and 2019.

UKD candidates

Whereas, if we talk about regional parties, Uttarakhand Kranti Dal has declared candidates on 4 seats. UKD has fielded Ashutosh Negi from Garhwal Lok Sabha seat, Arjun Kumar Dev from Almora Pithoragarh seat and Shiv Singh from Nainital Udham Singh Nagar seat. Whereas, UKD has supported independent candidate Bobby Panwar on Tehri Lok Sabha seat.
