Uttarakhand: Army soldier was driving drunk, when traffic personnel asked him to move the car, he beat him up

When the traffic personnel asked the army personnel who was driving under the influence of alcohol to move the car, he started fighting with the traffic personnel. When the matter reached the police station, the military personnel was given medical treatment. The police has also informed the Army about the matter.

The soldier hit the vehicle
The incident is said to have happened on Saturday. According to the information, traffic constable Akash Kumar was on duty at Nainital District Co-operative Bank Tirahe. At around 2:30 pm, a vehicle coming from Kathgodam was turning from Nainital District Co-operative Bank Tiraha. Meanwhile, a speeding car coming from behind hit that vehicle.

When asked to park the car on the side, it was beaten
A military personnel was driving the car that collided. The young man driving the car came out of the car and started showing arrogance. Due to this there was a jam there. Traffic constable Akash Kumar approached the car driver and asked him to park the car aside. It is alleged that then the driver came out of the car and started fighting with the traffic constable, calling himself a soldier.

The soldier was posted in Jammu and Kashmir
Seeing the scuffle, local people also reached the spot. People caught the car driver and his companion and took them to the police station and got both of them medically examined. During investigation, both the youths were found under the influence of alcohol. Since the matter was related to an army soldier, the army was informed about it. Army Police described Saurabh Singh Bisht, resident of Dineshpur, Udham Singh Nagar, as an army personnel posted in Jammu and Kashmir.

Case registered against accused constable
The police have registered a case against the accused army soldier Saurabh Bisht on the basis of the complaint of the traffic constable. According to the information regarding the case, Kotwal Umesh Malik said that the accused soldier had beaten him. Therefore, a case has been registered against him under various other sections including obstruction in government work.
