Uttarakhand: Conflict broke out in Dehradun, PAC had to be deployed

On the night of Holika Dahan in Brahmanwala area of Dehradun, three people lost their heads in a fight that broke out due to a personal dispute. Police had to deploy PAC and paramilitary forces late in the night to control the situation. Due to the promptness of the police, the situation was saved from worsening.
A heated argument broke out
According to the information received, a dispute broke out over some issue on the night of Holika Dahan near Peepal Chowk in Brahmanwala area. During this time, some youths beat up the youths from the other side. Three youths’ heads were injured in this attack. It is alleged that bricks were also thrown. When the commotion increased, the police was informed. After this, the police force of Patelnagar Kotwali reached and took control of the situation.
Police took charge of the situation
Even during the presence of police force, some people tried to create ruckus. However, due to the strictness of the police, the rioters could not succeed. The police also closed the shutters of nearby shops. After this the people gathered around were removed.
After receiving information about the uproar, the atmosphere became tense for some time due to the arrival of workers of some Hindu organizations on the spot. However, the police deployed paramilitary forces and PAC. After this the situation became normal.
