CSK vs GT: Chennai’s second consecutive win, Gujarat’s biggest defeat by margin of runs

In the seventh match of IPL 2024, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) faced Gujarat Titans (GT). In such a situation, Chennai defeated Gujarat (CSK vs GT) by 63 runs. Batting first, CSK scored 207 runs losing six wickets. Chasing the target, Gujarat team could score only 143 runs after losing eight wickets. With two consecutive wins, Chennai team is at the top of the points table with four points.

Let us tell you that this is the biggest defeat of Gujarat Titans in IPL by a margin of 63 runs. Last year, Gujarat lost to Mumbai by 27 runs. In such a situation, now Chennai has broken this record of Mumbai. Chennai’s next match will be played with Delhi Capitals on March 31 in Visakhapatnam. So on March 31 itself, Gujarat will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in Ahmedabad.

CSK gave the target of 207 runs
Let us tell you that after winning the toss, Gujarat Titans decided to bowl first. The opening pair of Chennai team, Rituraj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra, who came to bat, gave a good start to the team. In which Rachin scored 46 runs in 20 balls. So captain Ruturaj was out after scoring 46 runs in 36 balls.

Ajinkya once again could not perform well. Rahane returned to the pavilion after scoring 12 runs. Shivam Dubey dominated yesterday’s match. Shivam scored a half-century in just 22 balls. Apart from this, Jadeja was out after scoring seven runs. Whereas Mitchell was unbeaten after scoring 24 runs. Where Shubhman Gill 8, Wriddhiman Saha 21, Vijay Shankar 12, David Miller 21, Azmatullah Omarzai 11 runs, Rahul Tewatia returned to the pavilion after scoring six runs and Rashid Khan returned to the pavilion after scoring one run.

No batsman could survive and play. Umesh Yadav remained till the end scoring 10 runs and Spencer Johnson scoring five runs. But could not make the team win. For CSK, Deepak Chahar, Mustafizur Rahman and Tushar Deshpande got two successes each. Whereas Mathisha Pathirana and Daryl Mitchell took one wicket each.
