25 flights including Delhi-Mumbai approved in summer schedule, direct flights will be available to these cities

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has implemented the summer schedule 2024 from March 31. A total of 25 flights have been approved at Dehradun Airport in this summer schedule. After which the number of flights at the airport will almost double. As soon as the schedule is implemented, there will be some changes in the timings of all flights. The summer schedule will be applicable from March 31 to October 26.

Chardham Yatra and tourism season is about to start in the state. Increase in the number of flights will be beneficial in the tourism and travel season. Summer holidays have also started in other states. Due to which the number of air passengers is continuously increasing at the airport. Due to which airlines have increased the number of their flights.

The airport has two or more flights to major cities of the country like Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow etc. Under regional connectivity, Pithoragarh, Pantnagar and Amritsar have also been connected by direct flights.

In the flight schedule from March 31 to October 26 at Dehradun Airport, flights to Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Amritsar, Jaipur, Pithoragarh, Pune, Hyderabad, Pantnagar, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Bangalore, Hisar have been approved. This includes a total of 18 flights of Indigo, two of Vistara, four of Alliance Air and one of Flybig.

Last time 26 flights were approved

26 flights were approved in the last summer schedule. In which Akasha and Go First flights were also included. Akasha did not start her flight despite the schedule. This time no new airlines are named in the schedule. IndiGo still remains the airline operating the most flights.
