Amber Dalal arrested from Dehradun, accused of running away with crores of rupees from people
The Economic Offenses Wing of Mumbai Police has arrested investment advisor Amber Dalal from Dehradun. Amber Dalal is accused of running away with thousands of crores of rupees from hundreds of people. According to the information received from the police, the broker had suddenly gone missing since March 14.
When the police started searching for him, they found out that he was changing hotels from time to time to avoid arrest. The investigation so far has revealed that film actors are also among those who have invested with Ambal Dalal.
EOW DCP Sangram Singh Nishandar said that the accused was brought to Mumbai and presented in the court where the court has given him police custody till April 2. Further investigation is ongoing in this matter. The investigation so far has revealed that people had been investing with Amber Dalal for more than 15 years.
Investigation has also revealed that people have invested at least Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 crore at two percent interest per month. Many artists including actor Anu Kapoor are also among the victims of Amber Dalal’s fraud.
