ED raid at Arvind Kejriwal’s wife’s relative’s house, action taken in FEMA case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has raided the house of a distant relative of Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The investigating agency has conducted raids from 8 am on March 26 (Tuesday) to 6 pm on March 27 (Wednesday). This action has been taken by ED in an old case related to FEMA. The name of Sunita Kejriwal’s relative has been revealed as SP Gupta, whose house located in Sunder Nagar area of Delhi has been raided.
In the 34-hour raid by the ED team, every corner of SP Gupta’s house was searched. Till now, no information has been revealed as to what the team got from there. According to the information received, ED action has been seen in an old case related to FEMA (Foreign Exchange Management Act). The action of the investigating agency against corruption is currently being seen in different parts of the country.
Kejriwal’s ED custody ending today
This raid has been conducted by the Enforcement Directorate at a time when Arvind Kejriwal is in ED custody in the Delhi Liquor Policy case. His custody period is ending on Thursday (28 March), after which ED is going to present Kejriwal in the PMLA court. It is believed that ED has collected many important evidences in the money laundering case related to the liquor policy case, through which it can demand the custody of Kejriwal again.
Kejriwal will make a big revelation in the court
At the same time, Sunita Kejriwal said on Wednesday that Arvind Kejriwal is going to make a big revelation during his appearance in the court. He said that despite two years of investigation, ED has not been able to find even a single penny of evidence. They raided the Chief Minister’s residence but found only Rs 73,000.
