Kangana Ranaut breaks silence on Urmila Matondkar’s ‘soft porn star’ comment, now drags Sunny Leone’s name

Kangana had then called Urmila Matondkar a ‘soft porn star’. There was a lot of controversy on social media regarding this between the two. Kangana Ranaut said about this in ‘Times Now Summit’, ‘Is soft porn or porn star an objectionable word? No. This is not an objectionable word. This is a word which is not socially acceptable.
What was the dispute between Urmila Matondkar and Kangana?
It is known that after Kangana Ranaut got the Lok Sabha election ticket, her old statements and controversies started being raised. While on one hand Congress leader Supriya Shrinet took a jibe at Kangana, on the other hand the actress’s 2020 interview went viral, in which she called Urmila Matondkar a ‘soft porn star’. Also said that Urmila was making fun of her struggle in an interview and saying that she was trying to woo BJP for the ticket. Kangana had said that Urmila is a soft porn star. If Urmila can get the ticket then why not her. Then Urmila got the Lok Sabha ticket from Mumbai North seat in 2019.
Kangana said- Ask Sunny Leone to respect porn stars
Kangana Ranaut further said, ‘Ask Sunny Leone, the respect that porn stars get in our country, no one in the whole world can get that much respect.
Kangana said this on the comment made on Urmila Matondkar
Regarding the comment made on Urmila Matondkar, Kangana said, ‘I was asked to comment on Urmila ji (Matondkar). I was asked on what basis BJP was considering me to enter politics. This was his question. I believe there are different areas of art. Sensational art, what we call mass art, which merely titillates or physically excites you, is also an art form. However, it can never be better than art that is intellectually stimulating, that stimulates your mind.’
The actress further said, ‘I personally believe that I belong to the tribe of balanced cinema artists. I never did item numbers. So, I just said that if she (Urmila Matondkar) can join a party (Congress) with her kind of filmography, then I have done an even better job.
Spoke on the acceptability of porn stars compared to prostitutes
Kangana then questioned the reason behind the social acceptability of a porn star compared to a prostitute. He said, ‘Why do we have such a mentality towards prostitutes while we socially accept porn stars? Is it because they have more money? Because they have glamour? We don’t treat prostitutes like porn stars.
Urmila Matondkar first joined Congress and then Shiv Sena
It is known that Kangana Ranaut will contest the Lok Sabha elections this time from Mandi seat of Himachal Pradesh. BJP has given him ticket from Mandi. When Urmila Matondkar got the Lok Sabha ticket from Mumbai North in 2019, she joined Congress. But later she joined Shiv Sena.
