Maharashtra: Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena announces 8 candidates, Kripal Tumane’s ticket canceled

Eknath Shinde led Shiv Sena has announced the names of 8 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. Apart from Ramtek, seven other sitting MPs have been made candidates. Interestingly, the candidature of Sanjay Mandlik from Kolhapur and Darsheel Mane from Hatkanangle were not considered confirmed but they have been included in the first list. The thing to note here is that the names of the candidates of Kalyan, Thane and Yavatmal Washim have not been announced in the first list.

Shiv Sena announces 8 candidates, who gets a chance?

  • Maval- Shrirang Appa Barane
  • Hingoli-Hemant Patil
  • Haatkanangle-Darsheel Mane
  • Kolhapur-Sanjay Mandlik
  • Buldhana- Prataprao Jadhav
  • Ramtek-Raju Parve
  • Shirdi – Sadashiv Lokhande
  • Mumbai South Central – Rahul Shewale

What will happen in Thane-Nashik?

Eknath Shinde is adamant on contesting elections from Mumbai as well as Thane and Nashik seats. Local party leaders have been trying to field a BJP candidate in Thane Lok Sabha constituency for the last several months. However, Eknath Shinde himself lives in Thane. Therefore, Thane Lok Sabha seat is prestigious in their eyes. As a result they are not ready to leave from here. BJP’s Shantigiri Maharaj has become angry after the announcement of Hemant Godse’s candidature by Shrikant Shinde in Nashik. He has adopted the stand of independent fight here. At the same time, there is a strong discussion about giving South Mumbai seat to MNS. In such a situation, it is understood that Shinde has presented the account before BJP as to how he will win these four seats.
