Nomination of 56 candidates on five Lok Sabha seats of Uttarakhand, 7 nomination papers canceled

Out of 63 nomination papers, 7 nomination papers have been cancelled. At the same time, the last date for withdrawal of nomination is March 30. In such a situation, names can be withdrawn till 3 pm on March 30. After that no one’s name will be withdrawn.

List of service voters ready: Apart from this, the Election Commission has also prepared the list of service voters. In which a list of 93,187 service voters (voters deployed in the army) has been prepared in Uttarakhand. Which includes 90,554 men and 2633 women. The nomination process for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections was completed on Wednesday.

Number of candidates on the five seats: After examining all the nominations received, the Election Commission has found 56 nominations correct on the five Lok Sabha seats. Whereas, 13 nominations have been found correct on Garhwal Lok Sabha seat, 11 on Tehri Lok Sabha seat, 10 on Nainital Udham Singh Nagar Lok Sabha seat and 8 on Almora Pithoragarh Lok Sabha seat.

8 candidates filed nomination papers for Almora Pithoragarh Lok Sabha seat. In which Ajay Tamta from Bharatiya Janata Party, independent candidate Arjun Prasad and Pramod Kumar from Uttarakhand People’s Party Democratic, Pradeep Tamta from Congress Party, Jyoti Prakash Tamta from Bahujan Mukti Party, Narayan Ram from Bahujan Samaj Party, Kiran Arya from Uttarakhand Parivartan Party and Uttarakhand Arjun Kumar Dev has filed nomination from Kranti Dal.
