Where did Mukhtar Ansari study?
Mukhtar Ansari was born on 03 June 1963 in Muhammadabad, Ghazipur district of UP. Father’s name was Subhanullah Ansari and mother’s name was Begum Rabia. Mukhtar was the youngest among his brothers. Mukhtar Ansari had studied from Government City Inter College and PG College. He did BA in Arts in the year 1984 and obtained post graduation degree from PG College, Rambagh. After this, he entered student politics of Kashi Hindu University and in 1996, after getting ticket from BSP, contested elections from Mau and became MLA.

Mukhtar Ansari’s elder brother Afzal Ansari also obtained post graduation degree from PG College, Ghazipur in 1976. He has been MLA five times and MP twice. For the first time, he became MP from Ghazipur constituency from Bahujan Samajwadi Party. In the general Lok Sabha elections of 2004, he got ticket from SP and after winning, he became MP again. However, after this he got ticket from BSP and became MP.

Mukhtar Ansari’s grandfather Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed Ansari had played an important role in the independence of the country. Mukhtar Ahmed Ansari was the President of the Indian National Congress in 1926-27 during the freedom struggle movement. He was considered very close to the country’s President Mahatma Gandhi. In 1930, when Gandhiji did Satyagraha to protest against the imposition of tax on salt. The district hospital of Ghazipur is named after him. Apart from this, he was one of the founding members of Jamia Millia Islamia University, one of the prestigious universities of the country. He was also its Chancellor from 1928 to 1936. He studied MBBS from Madras and obtained MS and MD degrees from UK. Even today, the name of a famous road in Delhi (Ansari Road) is prevalent in his name.
