Meteorological Department issued alert
Meteorologists have predicted light rain and snowfall for the hilly areas of Uttarakhand. According to Meteorological Department Director Vikram Singh, there is a possibility of light rain in some areas of Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Pauri, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts including Dehradun.
Chances of snowfall in high altitude areas
Meteorologists have also predicted snowfall for areas at an altitude of more than four thousand meters. Yellow alert has been issued in some areas of these districts for lightning and hailstorm along with wind speed of 50 kilometers per hour.

Let us tell you that on Thursday, the maximum temperature of the capital Dehradun was recorded at 34.9 degrees, which is five degrees more than normal. Earlier in 2014, the temperature on this day was 31.2 degrees. The effect of the heat during the day was visible even at night. Due to this, the minimum temperature at night also increased by four degrees to 18.8.
