Uttarakhand / Dehradun: Live-in partner was killed, body was kept in a suitcase and thrown in the forest, you will be shocked to know the reason
A sensational case has come to light from Patelnagar Kotwali area of Dehradun. The girl was strangulated to death by her lover. After the murder, the accused kept the body in a suitcase and threw it in the forest in Asharodi. The matter came to light after three months. The police have arrested the accused youth.
Lover turned out to be the killer of the missing girl
The accused has been identified as Rashid (23), son of Mursleen, resident of Muzaffarnagar. According to the information given by the police, on January 29, Shahrul Jahan’s wife Zaheer Hasan, resident of Haridwar, lodged a missing complaint of their daughter Shahnoor (24). The woman told that her daughter used to work as a beauty parlor while living in Sanskriti Vihar Colony in Dehradun. But there is no news of Shahnoor’s whereabouts since 26th December.
The girl was living in a live-in relationship
Taking the matter seriously, the police started searching for the girl. During investigation, the police came to know that the girl was living in a live-in relationship with a young man named Rashid. Who is absconding. On March 30, the police arrested the accused from Sanskrit Vihar Colony. During interrogation, Rashid told that he used to do motorcycle repairing work in his village Bagowali. In the year 2017-18, he got acquainted with Shahnoor through internet media. After this they were in constant touch with each other.
Killed due to suspicion of illicit relations
In September 2023, the accused came to Dehradun to meet Shahnoor and both of them started living in a room near ISBT. On the night of 26 December, Shahnoor reached the room at around 2 o’clock. There was a fight between the two regarding this matter. When the young man asked the girl the reason for coming late, the girl told him to mind her own business. The dispute between the two escalated so much that he slapped the young man. After which the young man strangled Shahnoor to death.
The body was kept in a suitcase and thrown in the forest
The youth told that on December 27, he withdrew Rs 17 thousand in cash from Shahnoor’s ATM card and bought a big suitcase. After coming into the room, the young man kept the girl’s body in a suitcase, tied it to the back seat of the scooter, threw it in a ditch in the deserted forest of Asharodi and ran away. On the information of the youth, the police recovered the skeleton of the missing Shahnoor’s body in a decomposed state from inside a suitcase lying near a ditch on the roadside towards Saharanpur, about 5-6 kilometers from Asharodi.
