DC vs CSK: Even MS Dhoni’s stormy innings could not give victory to Chennai, Delhi opened the account of victory

The 13th match of IPL 2024 was played between Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings. In such a situation, Delhi won this match by 20 runs. Delhi scored 191 runs after losing five wickets thanks to half centuries from Rishabh Pant and David Warner.
Chasing the target, Chennai could score only 171 runs at the loss of six wickets. MS Dhoni played a stormy innings in yesterday’s match but could not lead the team to victory. With this defeat, Chennai has come to second place on the points table. So with its first win, Delhi has moved to seventh position on the points table.
Khalil Ahmed bowled lethally
Chennai Super Kings batsmen came out to chase 192 runs. In such a situation, the team got a shock in the beginning itself. Mukesh Kumar wreaked havoc on Chennai batsmen
Delhi’s Mukesh Kumar also bowled excellently in yesterday’s match. In the 14th over, he dismissed one batsman back to back. Mukesh sent Rahane and Sameer Rizvi to the pavilion on the next ball without opening the account. After which Mukesh also dismissed Shivam Dubey for 18 runs.
MS Dhoni could not lead the team to victory
Mahendra Singh Dhoni came to bat at number eight. In which he played a stormy innings. But could not make the team win. He played a brilliant inning of 37 runs in 16 balls. Which includes four fours and three sixes. Ravindra Jadeja was also present to support Dhoni. Jadeja played an unbeaten inning of 21 runs. There was a contest of 51 runs between the two. But the two explosive batsmen could not lead the team to victory. The credit for this goes to the Delhi bowlers.
Rishabh Pant and David’s half-century innings
Coming to bat first, Delhi Capitals were given a great start by Prithvi Shaw and David Warner. After which Warner became the victim of Mustafizur Rahman after scoring 52 runs in 35 balls. After which Jadeja sent Prithvi Shaw to the pavilion for 43 runs.
The deadly bowling of Chennai’s Mathisha Pathirana broke the 134-run partnership of Rishabh Pant and Mitchell Marsh. Marsh was out after scoring 18 runs. After which he also showed Tristan Stubbs the way to the pavilion. Team captain Rishabh Pant also played an excellent innings yesterday. He played an innings of 51 runs in 32 balls. Chennai’s Mathisha Pathirana got three successes and Mustafizur Rahman and Ravindra got one success each.
