E-postal ballot process completed for 93 thousand service voters in Uttarakhand

The process of e-postal ballot has been completed for more than 93 thousand service voters of Uttarakhand. This time, Garhwal Lok Sabha seat will have the maximum number of 34 thousand service voters.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer Vijay Kumar Jogdande told in the media center located at the Secretariat on Sunday, the number of service voters for the five Lok Sabha seats of the state for the Lok Sabha elections is 93 thousand 187, which includes 12,862 in Tehri seat, 34,845 in Garhwal seat, 34,845 in Almora seat. 29,105 service voters have been marked on Nainital seat, 10,629 on Nainital seat and 5,746 service voters have been marked on Haridwar Lok Sabha seat.

The process of e-postal ballot has been completed for all service voters. The military officers of the unit offices of the service voters have been requested to provide postal ballots to the service voters at the competent level and to deliver the voting through postal ballot to the concerned Returning Officer. Said, efforts are being made to ensure that the voting percentage of service voters is almost 100 percent.

In the last Lok Sabha elections, 63,222 out of 90,845 postal ballots were received from Uttarakhand, which was about 70 percent of the total service voters. Postal ballots should reach the RO by 8 am on the counting day. Postal ballot papers received after this cannot be used for counting.

Additional Chief Electoral Officer said, various arrangements will be made to maintain electoral transparency in the 11,729 polling booths set up in the state. Web casting arrangements are being made in 5,898 polling booths of the state. Arrangements for micro observers and videography will also be made at some polling booths.
